US flight turns back as 7 cabin crew taken ill

Almost all the cabin crew onboard an Aer Lingus flight to the US took ill yesterday evening, forcing the plane to turn back more than two hours into the journey.

It is understood that seven of the eight crew onboard Aer Lingus flight EI139 reported that they were feeling unwell.

The flight had departed Dublin at 4.23pm with 280 passengers on board, bound for Boston.
