Munster to get the best weather this weekend
“Certainly Munster has the best chance of getting the best of the weather,” said forecaster David Rogers.
The province is also likely to achieve the highest temperatures next week.
Munster had a good day yesterday, while the weather in rest of the country was quite cloudy, with patches of rain and drizzle affecting west and north western coasts.
Temperatures reached around 22C in parts of the country but are expected to fall today due to a lot of cloud and northerly winds.
However, Munster will have the best chance of some sunny breaks developing over the weekend.
Met Éireann is forecasting settled conditions for the country next week.
“From a forecasting point of view, the main challenge is trying to predict where cloud might or might not occur,” said Mr Rogers.
However, it is likely that there will be quite a bit of sunshine from the second half of Sunday to at least next Wednesday. “So the bulk of Munster, anywhere away from the margins of the sea, will have a very reasonable chance of getting to the low 20s, with possibly one or two spots getting up to 24 degrees over the course of next week.”
