Charged over fatal hit and run

Lisa Roohan, from Boyanagh on the Leitrim/Donegal border outside Ballyshannon, is accused of the offence near Mr McSherry’s home outside Bundoran on August 25 last year.

She appeared at Ballyshannon District Court last month when Judge Kevin Kilrane remanded her on bail to the same court on June 20 for service of the book of evidence.

Inspector Denis Joyce told the judge that Ms Roohan had surrendered her passport to gardaí.

Ms Roohan is to appear in court on separate driving charges linked to the incident tomorrow.

Mr McSherry’s body was found on a dark country road at 5.10am by his wife, Jo.
