Appeal for witnesses after man dies in van crash

Gardaí are appealing for anybody who may have seen a red Toyota van prior to a crash which claimed the life of its 57-year-old driver yesterday morning.

Matt Daly, a farmer, became the 74th person to die on Irish roads this year after his van hit a tree on a bend in north Cork.

The accident happened on the N72 at around 10.15am at Dysart, Dromagh, near Kanturk.
