Irish people in Thailand have reported a peaceful environment in the country, despite the military coup and yesterday’s arrest of the former political leaders.

Tourists have been exempt from the curfew imposed by the military, and ex-pats living the country say that there has been little evidence of unrest.

Workers in Bangkok, where the coup took place, and in the tourist resorts to the south have not been impacted by the power shift.
