The father of a man killed in a suspected hit-and-run last night said: "I would love to see the person who did this caught."

John Byrne and his wife Cathy were being comforted by family and friends after learning that their son Keith, 35, had been killed just 300m from the family home at Carnalouge, near the village of Louth.

The bricklayer was walking home after socialising in Louth village when it appears he was struck by a vehicle that did not stop. The road is often used by motorists heading for Crossmaglen and other parts of south Armagh.
