Public donate over $100,000 towards medical bills of Irishman dying in the US

Ronan Winter, originally from Dublin, was diagnosed with cancer six months ago.

Now living in California with his American wife and their two daughters, Ronan faces staggering medical bills after deciding to cancel his life insurance policy.

Believing he was in his full health, Ronan cancelled the medical cover only a few months before his diagnosis so he could start a college fund for his children.
