Man faces 50 child sex abuse charges

A Dublin man has been served with a book of evidence and sent forward for trial on multiple counts of child sex abuse and exploitation.

The defendant, who is in his 50s and cannot be identified for legal reasons, is facing 50 charges, including allegations that he sexually assaulted one girl on three occasions and that he induced another girl into making pornography.

The man is also accused of engaging in a sexual act with a child under the age of 17 and was served with a book of evidence when he made his second appearance at Dublin District Court yesterday.
