Woman arrested in McConville case

Detectives investigating the IRA murder of Belfast mother-of-10 Jean McConville more than 40 years ago have released a 57-year-old woman and sent a report to prosecutors.

The suspect was detained in west Belfast yesterday and taken to Antrim PoliceStation for questioning, a spokesman from the PSNI said.

The abduction, murder, and secret burial of Mrs McConville in 1972 is one of the most notorious incidents of the Troubles.
