Labour ‘set to lose out’ in Euro elections

The Labour Party is predicted to lose all its three seats in the European Parliament in May’s elections, with Sinn Féin taking them, according to bookmakers Paddy Power.

Irish seats are down by one to 11, and the constituencies have been redrawn and reduced to three, with five of the current nine MEPs slated to lose their seats.

Fine Gael, according to the odds, will retain four seats, Fianna Fáil will have two, losing one, while the Greens will re-enter the parliament after an absence of 10 years. Marian Harkin will remain the sole independent MEP, according to the bookies.
