Gustav Dahm, aged 42, of Pier Rd Kenmare, was sentenced to 10 years with the last four years of the sentence suspended in 2006. He had pleaded guilty to 24 counts of sexual offences against six children.

His victims included a five-year-old child and teenagers who would be lured to Dahm’s apartment.

At the sentencing, Judge Moran said what was involved was “a history of debauchery of six children between 1986 and 2003” and there were signs of sexual depravity.

The matter was being entered by the Probation Service yesterday to clarify the period of post-custodial supervision, and the terms of the order were not in dispute prosecutor Tom Rice outlined. Conditions of suspension included no unsupervised contact with children under the age of 17.
