Enrolments to double with €5.5m school extension

A large secondary school in Co Cork is to undergo a €5.5m extension which will enable it to more than double its original intake of pupils.

Davis College has applied to Mallow Town Council to build a standalone extension of over 5,000sqm, which will allow it to cater for an additional 625 pupils.

The school opened 13 years ago and was built to house 450 students.
