A former glassblower has told a murder trial that the accused informed him that he had committed the crime hours after the killing.

William O’Riordan, aged 39, was giving evidence yesterday on the opening day of the trial of a 46-year-old Tipperary man charged with murder.

John Hannigan, of River House, New Quay, Clonmel, has pleaded not guilty to murdering Anthony Fallon, aged 46, in the town on January 18, 2012.
