CCTV captured a man throwing his hands up in celebration and shouting “three knockouts” after he punched three men in the face in an unprovoked attack in Cork City centre.

Sgt David O’Callaghan told Cork Circuit Criminal Court yesterday that Graham O’Mahony, of 68 Hazel Rd, Togher, Cork, was clearly seen celebrating and shouting those words over and over on St Patrick Street in the early hours of December 21, 2012.

Judge Seán Ó Donnabháin jailed him for two years and said: “This was a mindless assault by a vicious man on innocent pedestrians.”
