A site donated to Tralee Town Council by Kerry Group could be a catalyst for the regeneration of the centre of the town.

Kerry Group site may spark Tralee regeneration

The global food giant, whose corporate headquarters is in Tralee, has handed over the former Denny’s bacon factory site without preconditions. The 2.5–acre site, disused for the past six years, is in the heart of the town and the council is open-minded about its future uses.

Tralee mayor Pat Hussey yesterday said it may be considered for a long-awaited events centre, which could host conferences, exhibitions, concerts and other public events.
