Drug dealer pleads guilty to all counts

Det Garda Paul Leahy arrested Patrick Hanlon, aged 48, of 4 Pembroke Cottages, Passage West, Cork, and brought him before Cork District Court. Hanlon was charged with having cocaine for sale or supply at Rochestown service station on Rochestown Road on Jan 12, 2013. He was also charged with dealing cocaine at Mariners Quay, Passage West, on Feb 7.

He was accused of having the same drug for sale or supply at Copley St, Cork, the following day.

The fourth supply charge against Hanlon referred to MDMA, better known as ecstasy, at Kinsale Rd commercial centre on Jan 24 last year.

Hanlon pleaded guilty to being in possession of the drugs and having them for purpose of sale or supply in respect of all four dates.

Judge Leo Malone sent the case forward to the next sessions of Cork Circuit Criminal Court.

Hanlon was remanded on bail.
