Former FG minister and author Ted Nealon dies at 84

The former Fine Gael minister and author of the country’s foremost guide to Irish elections, Ted Nealon, has died aged 84.

Mr Nealon worked as a journalist with the Irish Press and later with RTÉ.

He was then appointed as Government Press secretary to the Fine Gael/Labour coalition in 1976 and after the 1977 election defeat was press officer for Fine Gael.
