Fassbender showed early flair for drama

Actor Michael Fassbender, 36, who is among the nominees for Golden Globe Awards on Sunday, will have scores of young fans from his alma mater cheering him on.

And yesterday, at Fossa National School, outside Killarney, Co Kerry, the movie star was very much in the minds of both teachers and pupils. He attended the school from 1982 to 1990.
