Former Wexford hurler Paul Codd was allowed to return to his family yesterday after having spent a weekend in Mountjoy Prison.

Codd, a former Wexford captain, was taken to jail last Saturday after he was arrested for failing to co-operate about his affairs with official bankruptcy assignee, Chris Lehane.

After Codd told the High Court he would make a statement to Mr Lehane and made a sworn affidavit in the courtroom, Mr Justice Kevin Cross told him he could go home.
