Kenny to reveal post-bailout plan before market return

The Taoiseach is set out a major economic strategy for the country in the aftermath of the bailout, said Finance Minister Michael Noonan yesterday.

“There will be the headlines of a strategic document to point a way forward on the general principles that will be pursued,” said Mr Noonan.

He said the Government will go back to the markets in January or February to raise additional money and there would be no question as to Ireland’s ability to raise this money.
