Sports stars of the present and the sadly departed were hailed yesterday at the UCC Sports Scholarships in Cork.

The achievements of Cork All Ireland hurlers Conor Lehane and Seamus Harnedy and Irish rugby star Alison Miller were among those celebrated at yesterday’s event, at which 80 Sports Scholarships and 11 Development Awards were presented across a variety of sports and to 20 different clubs.
