County architect to aid Bandon project

The county architect has said he would be happy to work with Bandon on a “project by project basis” — but that’s a pledge that falls short of their request for a full-time architect.

Earlier this week the town’s flooding forum called on Cork County Council to appoint an architect to the town so that it could be rejuvenated and rebranded as millions are poured into its flood prevention, sewage and drainage systems over the next three years.

Cork County Council architect, Sean McLoughlin is due to meet the Bandon flooding forum next week.
