Murray to tell listeners about illness

One of RTÉ Radio’s most popular presenters is expected to talk on air today about the illness that kept him off the airwaves for more than six months.

Murray to tell listeners about illness

John Murray, 49, who hosts the morning John Murray Show, took leave from the programme in April. He told fans he expected to be back before the end of May. However, it took longer than expected for the former deputy government press secretary to return to full health. His slot was filled by Miriam O’Callaghan, Kathryn Thomas, and Neil Delamere to a lesser degree.

RTÉ said the public response to John’s absence had been “phenomenal”, with cards and emails pouring in.
