Cillian Mahon and Ryane Twomey, who rescued two men from a burning building in Fermoy, Co Cork, will be presented with one of the country’s highest award for bravery today.

Cillian and Ryane will each receive a silver medal and certificate of bravery from Dáil Ceann Comhairle Sean Barrett in Farmleigh House for their selfless deed of bravery.

In Aug 2011, Cillian and Ryane made national headlines when they acted swiftly to save two occupants from a fire in an apartment complex.
