Shatter seeks file on murdered teenager

The minister for justice has asked gardaí to send him an up-to-date report on the murder file of innocent teenager Jeffrey Hannan.

The 19-year-old was beaten to death as he walked home in Southill, Limerick, on Nov 22, 2007.

The youth, who had no links to criminality, was viciously assaulted as he walked past a group that were attending a bonfire in O’Malley Park late at night.
