Council to clamp down on dangerous dogs

This follows a campaign for a crackdown following a number of dog attacks, including an incident in Tralee last August, in which a pitbull-type dog attacked a pet huskie in the presence of a young child.

More than 60 complaints have been received about dangerous dogs in Kerry so far this year. Signs are being erected at beaches and walking areas, warning owners they must keep certain breeds of dogs muzzled and under control at all times.
