Limerick encouraged to make a play for city to host Gay Games in 2022

Limerick Gay Games Committee was yesterday encouraged to try and win the 2022 Gay Games, having lost out to Paris for the 2016 event.

It is estimated that the games are worth up to €50m to the host city. Limerick made it to the last round of the bidding process alongside London and Paris which was announced yesterday as the host city for the games due to be held in three years.

MEP Sean Kelly has called on the Limerick Gay Games Committee to now set their sights on submitting an early bid to host the 2022 Gay Games in Limerick.
