Gardaí in Cork are appealing for witnesses to a street fight in the city, which they believe led to the death of a 36-year-old.

The man was found unconscious on St Patrick’s Quay on Thursday night and died in hospital hours later. Gardaí say they are treating his death as suspicious.

The victim, who originally comes from Carpenterstown in Dublin, was found collapsed with head and facial injuries shortly after 10pm.
