For many of the 39 winners and their guests, the six-day luxury break will mark their first time visiting the Big Apple.

The group will stay at the Sofitel Hotel in Midtown Manhattan, just a short stroll from Times Square, the Empire State Building, and Fifth Avenue.

Tomorrow evening the winners will sail across the Hudson River, past the Statue of Liberty, to the famous River Café for a gala dinner.

A trip to New York would not be complete without a spot of shopping in some of the world’s top stores and the winners have €2,500 each in spending money to enjoy during the week.

They will also visit Broadway on Tuesday night, where they will enjoy the smash hit musical Jersey Boys at the August Wilson Theatre before flying back to Dublin on Thursday.

“Dreams come true in New York City and we’re delighted to bring 39 winners’ dreams to life by sending them and their guests to the Big Apple,” said Dermot Griffin, chief executive, National Lottery.
