Probe’s second crime scene

As a second crime scene is sealed off as part of the Garda inquiry into the death of Elaine O’Hara, 36, it looks increasingly likely that a murder investigation will be launched.

Ms O’Hara’s remains were found in the Dublin mountains over the weekend. Some of her belongings were found at a reservoir near Roundwood in Co Wicklow yesterday.

A single woman who had just been released from hospital when she disappeared, Ms O’Hara had been missing for 13 months. A reservoir in Co Wicklow was sealed off.

Ms O’Hara had been seen leaving Belarmine Plaza in Stepaside on Aug 22, 2012. She was later seen close to the railway footbridge at Shanganagh Park, Shankill.

Earlier yesterday, DNA tests confirmed that the remains found last Friday were those of Ms O’Hara.
