Brad Pitt steals show at wedding
Abi, 28, and Daniel Lingwood, 41, were just celebrating their wedding, enjoying a drink at the Maidenhead Hotel in Berkshire, England, when they realised they had Tinseltown royalty in their midst.
The hotel where the couple was holding the reception just happened to be the hotel where Pitt had decided to relax after filming of his new movie, Fury, in London.
Daniel spotted Pitt enjoying a drink at the bar and rushed back to tell his wife.
Abi told local newspaper the Maidenhead Advertiser: “My husband said to me ‘Brad Pitt was at the bar and you have got to come with me’, so he dragged me across the hotel. I thought he was joking.”
The star, who is in the midst of planning his own wedding to Angelina Jolie, obliged the bride’s request for photos.
Pitt, 49, didn’t hold back the compliments for the gushing new bride.
“He said ‘congratulations and I hope you have had a great day and let’s have a picture’. And he said I looked nice. He was really nice,” said Abi.
The World War Z star, sporting his new short-wave haircut, was then nice enough to pose for a photo with the happy couple.
The father of six eventually had to go upstairs because, Daniel said, the female guests in the room were “going wild and mental”.
Awestruck Abi admits the A-lister’s presence caused a stir among her wedding party, who deluged him with requests for pictures, and claims Brad unwittingly upstaged her nuptials.
She said: “It has become more of a talking point than my wedding, but that is fine.”
