The prospect of open-air theatre on the Virgin Mary Point will add a new dimension to Inchydoney’s appeal as a visitor attraction.

The sand bank which splits the island’s Blue Flag beaches, near Clonakilty, has been given a major facelift. Its has been enhanced with native species of grasses, plants and wildflowers between landscaped paths, seating and chestnut fencing.
