Jedward make it a Jepic wedding

It’s most people’s idea of the wedding from hell, but Jedward have swapped the day job to become guest wedding planners for one (un)lucky couple.

Jedward make it a Jepic wedding

Uttering the phrase: “We’ve got the gorilla John, this wedding’s gonna be on the up and up!” the pair pledge to make the couple’s big day Jepic.

The all-singing, all-dancing duo appear in the first episode of Celebrity Wedding Planner on TV3 tomorrow night.

The Dublin twins who first came to prominence on the X Factor set about planning burlesque dancer Beulah and James Clemo’s special day despite her apprehension.

“Ideally I would love to have Kylie [Minogue] as our celebrity wedding planner. I think she’d be amazing. Jedward we’ve thought about [but] that would be tragic.”

The twins have no such concerns about turning their hand to full-scale event management.

They have drafted in reams of toilet paper and a gorilla to help sculpt their vision of the perfect wedding.

“Me and Edward want to make this wedding as exciting and cool as possible. It has to be Jepic,” says John.

The couple not only have a lifetime of memories to remember their big day, the boys also designed their wedding rings, inscribed with ‘Jedward Forever’ on the inside.

Sunday’s episode is the first of a six-part series.

Other celebrity guests include ex-Atomic Kitten Kerry Katona, Russell Grant and cast members of Neighbours and The Only Way is Essex.

Each week the happy couple are surprised, for better or worse, when their celebrity planner is unveiled. From then on their special day is in the hands of people more accustomed to lapping up the public’s attention than directing it.

With wedding guests being sent on an unexpected detour and the groom finding himself in a less than flattering outfit, its fair to say the results are mixed.

“There are a few hiccups along the way but overall the wedding was a success,” said a TV3 spokesperson.

*Celebrity Wedding Planner airs tomorrow at 10pm on TV3.
