Bertie’s ex gets politics degree

Bertie Ahern’s former partner, Celia Larkin, has graduated from the University of Limerick yesterday with a first-class honours degree in politics and international relations.

Due to her background in politics, Ms Larkin, aged 54, was allowed complete the four-year course in three years and did not have to do work placement.

Ms Larkin wore a powder-blue dress under her cape.

After the graduation ceremony she said: “I think that Limerick University is a wonderful facility and I’m very proud to have gone to Limerick University and I’m very happy to be here.”

She added that it is a great credit to a large number of people that the UL campus exists.

Ms Larkin shied away from any other questions posed by reporters, including what she intended to do in the future.
