CAO points rise for computer and business degrees

Computing and business degrees are seen as hot tickets for the class of 2013, if rises in CAO points are anything to go by.

In line with application trends, science and business are among the areas that have seen some of the highest numbers of courses go up in points at honours degree level this year.

The 45 colleges in the CAO system have over 1,370 certificate, ordinary and honours degree courses to fill this year. Out of more than 1,200 with comparable round-one points from last year, 59% now require the same or fewer points.
