Ahead of their clash with Clare following yesterday’s result, the Rebel Army will have a new anthem, inspired by the county’s iconic manager, to chant from the terraces.

The ‘Do the Jimmy Barry-Murphy’ rap, which features a funked-up sample of the riff from the smash 1996 hit ‘Return of the Mack’ by Mark Morrison, predicts a return of the Liam MacCarthy cup to Leeside, and promises: “When we get our hands on Liam MacCarthy, it’s back to Cork for a non-stop party.”
