JBM gets the BPM treatment from rap fans

It may be almost three weeks until the All Ireland hurling final, but Cork fans have it all rapped up already.

Ahead of their clash with Clare following yesterday’s result, the Rebel Army will have a new anthem, inspired by the county’s iconic manager, to chant from the terraces.

The ‘Do the Jimmy Barry-Murphy’ rap, which features a funked-up sample of the riff from the smash 1996 hit ‘Return of the Mack’ by Mark Morrison, predicts a return of the Liam MacCarthy cup to Leeside, and promises: “When we get our hands on Liam MacCarthy, it’s back to Cork for a non-stop party.”
