Motorcyclists asked to gear up for charity

Motorcyclists in Limerick City are being asked to gear up and lend their support to a lifesaving initiative.

Blood Bike West is a charity providing an out-of- hours blood transportation service to hospitals in the Mid-West. It is looking for experienced bikers to volunteer their services.

Speaking yesterday, charity founder Damien Hickey said “the four local hospitals have agreed to come on board with this initiative” which “can provide serious savings in time and money.”
