A district court judge said that he had been threatened with judicial review in an attempt to influence a case’s outcome.

Judge Seamus Hughes made the claim in a case against two brothers charged with cutting turf in designated bogs.

Michael King, of Currabawn, Drumlish, and James King of Knockmartin, Longford, were charged in regard to the cutting of turf at two separate locations on Apr 4 in bogs designated as national heritage areas.
