It had emerged during a bankruptcy court hearing on Tuesday in Bridgeport that the former socialite — who has forged a path in her husband’s industry since moving to the US in 2010 — would be named as part of the Dunne filing which was originally launched on March 29.

Another creditor listed alongside the likes of Ulster Bank and NAMA is Dunne’s former wife Jennifer Coyle.

An eight-page document filed by Ms Killilea Dunne’s lawyer Eric Henzy was made as an “interested party” in support of Mr Dunne’s ongoing appeal which is attempting to prevent Ulster Bank’s parallel bankruptcy proceedings in Ireland.

“Killilea’s concern now is that if a bankruptcy proceeding in Ireland is commenced while there is an appeal pending and the order is vacated, it would not then be possible to stop or vacate the Irish proceeding, which will bring with it enormous additional cost and risk of inconsistent results,” the document read.

Mr Dunne appeared before his creditors on Wednesday and stressed he wasn’t overseeing his wife’s finances and that she was the sole owner of Mountbrook USA.

Lawyers for all sides will return to court in Connecticut on Wednesday.
