Government jet flights for Taoiseach Enda Kenny and his officials have cost nearly €1m since the Coalition took office in 2011.

Kenny racks up jet bill  of  nearly €1m

Mr Kenny used the jets more than any other member of the Government, taking trips to far flung places in America as well as several destinations in Europe.

Mr Kenny and his entourages clocked up 56 hours on the Gulfstream and Learjet aircraft in just four months this year. The trips cost taxpayers over €220,000.
