The public is being urged to take a trip down memory lane to mark the 50th anniversary of US president John F Kennedy’s visit to Ireland.

Stories, photos, mementoes, and thoughts on the 1963 visit are being sought as part of the JFK Homecoming Memory Project.

Jimmy Deenihan, Minister for Arts, Heritage, and the Gaeltacht, said the social media campaign, website and an exhibition at the National Library of Ireland are a fitting way to commemorate the trip.
