Two new secondary schools planned for Cork

Two new secondary schools are planned for Co Cork in 2016, with approximately 1,500 students eventually to be catered for in Carrigaline and East Cork.

The sites for both have yet to be identified by the Department of Education.

Among the decisions will be whether to build a new school in Carrigtwohill or Midleton to help address under-capacity in the East Cork area’s existing secondary schools.
