The investigation of a spate of burglaries throughout Cork and Kerry where over €90,000 worth of property was stolen led gardaí to the door of a Lithuanian couple where they found some of the stolen property.

Judge David Riordan imposed a three-year-jail term on Alexsandras Pelesok, 33, and suspended the last two years on condition that the defendant would leave the country for five years within 48 hours of his release from prison.

That sentence was imposed on him on two charges of handling stolen property, namely stolen computers.
