Irishman jailed in England will sue police who ‘framed’ him

An Irishman who was jailed in England for nearly 20 years is to sue the police officers who he says “framed” him for robbery.

Martin Foran, aged 69, from Limerick, has had one of two convictions for robbery overturned by the High Court in London.

He is currently waiting on the courts to decide if the second conviction should also be quashed.
