Coroner urges young people: Think twice on suicide

A coroner has pleaded with young people to heed the words of the brave Kerry teenager Donal Walsh, who is battling terminal cancer, and think twice before taking their lives.

South Kerry coroner Terence Casey made his emotional appeal after all but one of his inquests yesterday returned verdicts of suicide. All of them were male.

Two of the boys who took their own lives were aged 16, one man was 21, one 22, and another aged 30. Two of them were found by their fathers, another by his uncle, one by his brother, and one by his wife.
