Man not guilty of sex assault at party

A Limerick man was found not guilty of carrying out a sexual assault on a girl when she was 15 and he was 18 at a birthday party.

The jury of eight women and four men returned a unanimous verdict after 68 minutes on the fourth day of the trial at Limerick Circuit Court.

Gerard O’Riordan, 24, of 6 Crescent Villas, denied the assault, which was alleged to have happened on Aug 10, 2007.
