Daughter was abused by father from age 3

A man who sexually abused his daughter for a decade from when she was just 3 has been jailed for two years.

In her victim impact report the victim, now aged 44, said she remembers wishing she would die in her sleep as a 10 year old.

The man, from Dublin, who cannot be named to protect his daughter’s identity, pleaded guilty at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court last month to 22 counts of indecent assault on the victim between Apr 1972 and Mar 1982.
