An Irishman has become the first person in the world to propose marriage on top of America’s Freedom Tower.

Marty Curran made the epic 104-storey climb to get down on one knee and ask girlfriend Linda Cribben to marry him.

Marty, from Letterkenny in Co Donegal, arranged the trip with friends working in the Port Authority.
