Susi contractor to deal with property tax queries

Fianna Fáil has queried how a company involved in the slow-moving Susi grants system — which have left some students still waiting for money — is now working on customer call services for the introduction of the property tax.

Cork firm, Abtran, the Revenue Commissioners confirmed, is providing a call management and reporting system for the implementation of the local property tax.

Abtran operates the Student Universal Support Ireland (Susi) helpdesk. As recently as last month, about 7,000 students were still waiting for their fees and grants to be paid.
