Warning for motorists as cold snap descends

Just when you though the worst was over, Met Éireann is warning of snow and sub-zero temperatures over the next few days with strong northeast winds causing blizzard conditions in some parts.

Icy conditions are expected to linger in many areas today after overnight temperatures were set to fall to -4C.

The Road Safety Authority (RSA) has warned road users to slow down during the challenging weather conditions.
